Who we are Bridgewest Ventures New Zealand (BVNZ) have been established to find and incubate deep tech ventures in partnership with Callaghan Innovation. About the role The purpose of this job is to provide comprehensive compliance support for our incubated ventures, including drafting legal documents using templates, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing governance processes, and fostering professional development among founders and venture boards.
In addition, you will be involved with supporting grant applications, improving incubator processes, and promoting an innovative, diverse, and sustainable culture within the organisation and its partnerships.
Everything you are involved with will be helping us to achieve our goal to "create an ecosystem where entrepreneurs can confidently build, operate, grow, and be successful in their venture".
This is a brand-new role for us and we can't wait for someone to come in and make it their own For the right person, we may consider 3-4 days per week….
About you To hit the ground running, you will need the following:
3-7 years of experience working in a law firm or legal department, ideally with exposure to corporate/commercial law, compliance, and governance and/or a law degree (LLB or equivalent) Excellent legal research and writing skillsStrong appreciation of corporate law, compliance regulations, and governance best practicesKnowledge of legal document preparation and managementProficiency in legal document drafting and reviewStrong attention to detail and analytical abilities About the package We could try and woo you with talk of a competitive salary; fast-paced company; supportive team; and stunning inner-city office….
