Responsible for the installation, maintenance and optimisation of the underground radio communications including the Leaky Feeder system, fibre optic cables, network system and WiFi devices to facilitate a reliable and effective communications network to support 24/7 mining operations.
Responsibilities include: Person and asset tracking Voice radio communications Safety access systems Data capture devices, fixed and mobile Wireless remote operated vehicles and their safety systems SCADA monitoring traffic management IP telephones Assist the Underground electrical team with installations and services as required CISCO Device Configuration Minimum Requirements: Trade certificate in Electrical Engineering/ Electronics Technician / Radio Communications or equivalent Full and current Driver Licence, competent with driving manual vehicles Minimum 5 years post apprenticeship trade experience, preferably in an underground mining environment Experience with Network switch, wireless access point and network device configurations Experience with Industrial Auto Electrical systems and fault finding Experience with Extra Low Voltage systems and fault finding Leaky Feeder UHF systems experience Digital and analogue radio network experience Benefits: Attractive 8/6 roster (days only) Free transport to and from site Work for the largest gold mining company in New Zealand OGC VALUES: CARE | RESPECT | INTEGRITY | PERFORMANCE | TEAMWORK OceanaGold is committed to providing equal employment opportunities.
