Trenchless/ Pipe Jacking Engineer

**Responsibilities**:
- Provides design and technical leadership to regional projects and staff in trenchless engineering and in delivering conveyance projects.
- Develop good business relationships with key clients and positively develop current and future work
- Provide guidance to junior engineers on projects and be able to train and mentor them
- Understanding of construction methods, such as open-cut and trenchless (microtunneling, pipe-jacking and HDD, etc.) for conveyance infrastructure.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor of Engineering with a geotechnical emphasis.
- Ability to develop and review designs, drawings, specifications, and technical memoranda.
- Knowledge of temporary excavation support, as well as tunnel excavation, ground support and permanent lining construction methods would be considered advantageous.
- Understanding of local and regional jurisdictional codes, legal and design requirements in relevant jurisdictions.
- Strong ability to read and interpret 2D and 3D CAD drawings.
- Understanding of water and storm and sanitary sewer rehabilitation, is considered an asset.
- Demonstrates strong understanding of conveyance system construction elements as it relates to design in order to select construction methods and defining work area limits.
- Strong communication and technical writing skills (fluent in English for both spoken and written).
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills are essential.
- Willing to travel within Australia and New Zealand for short term
