You'll be working:

  • at T05, 155 Beaumont Street, Auckland CBD;
  • as full time staff (30-40hours per week)
  • at $32 per hour

We're looking for an individual that has:

  • positive attitude, drive and resilience
  • at least 1-2 years of experience working in a similar establishment
  • extensive knowledge on how cafe/commercial kitchen operates
  • can work well under pressure and has a strong work ethic
  • available to work both weekends

As a baker, you'll be responsible for:

  • Opening and closing the bakery
  • Monitoring oven temperatures and product appearance to determine baking times
  • Bake different bread types: brioche, sourdough, danish loaf; Bake different pastries: croissant, danish
  • Kneading, maturing, cutting, moulding, mixing and shaping dough and pastry goods according to head baker's instructions
  • Prepare pastry fillings including custard, whipped cream and caramel
  • Checking the cleanliness of equipment and operation of premises before production runs to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations
