Job Description :
SFK Limited is currently looking for 1 motivated and dependable individual for a permanent full time CNC Wood Machinist position to work in the Canterbury Region , with minimum 30 hours per week, from Monday to Saturday .
Working in this role would provide the successful applicant with numerous opportunities for career advancement.
On a daily basis, the successful applicant will be working alongside our team on various construction sites. Tasks include:
 
·      Set up and operate machines and maintenance, including press brake machine, plate shears machine, CNC working center, bending machine, steel plate machine and sheet shears machine etc.
·      Study drawings, work orders and sample parts to determine specifications
·      Determine tooling and machine requirements and sequence of operations
·      Set up woodworking machines and wood stock for correct cutting, planning, turning, shaping and sanding
·      Operate machines to cut, plane, turn, shape and sand work pieces
·      Carry out general machine maintenance
·      Other relevant job duties notified by the employer
 
We offer an hourly rate of : $29.66 - $30 depending on your skills and experience.
 
You should have at least three years relevant experience or a relevant NZ Level 4 qualification or equivalent.
