We are seeking two experienced and passionate Assistant Restaurant Managers to lead operations at our two busy Indian restaurants — one located in the vibrant heart of Papatoetoe , and the other in the growing suburb of Karaka . These full-time roles are perfect for professionals who thrive in a fast-paced hospitality environment and are committed to delivering excellent service and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Support Restaurant Manager to plan menus in collaboration with Chefs, ensuring authentic Indian cuisine and customer appeal. Organise and coordinate special functions and events in coordination with the restaurant manager. Manage purchasing and pricing of food and beverages within budgetary limits. Maintain accurate records of stock levels and financial transactions. Ensure the restaurant complies with all health and safety regulations and maintains a clean, welcoming environment. Interact with customers to gauge satisfaction and resolve any service-related issues promptly. Recruit, train, roster, and supervise kitchen and front-of-house staff. Support the team with reservations, guest greetings, and taking orders during busy periods. Requirements: Minimum of 3 years experience within the hospitality industry or relevant qualification. Be able to work a minimum between 32 and 40 hours a week on a 7 day roster system. Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills. Strong understanding of food cost management and stock control. A hands-on attitude and the ability to multitask in a dynamic setting. Passion for Indian cuisine and customer service excellence.
