Mō te tūranga / About the role

Health New Zealand Lakes is seeking a Palliative Care Physician with a passion for improving the quality of life for their patients through Palliative Medicine. The role requires you to work across a range of acute inpatient services and ambulatory services including clinics, hospice and patient's homes.

Mō koe / About you

The ideal candidate for this role will have an interest in further developing specialist services to meet the needs of a rapidly growing and culturally diverse population.

Therefore, it is essential to have capability in delivering specialist services:

  • to people and whanau who are experiencing a life limiting condition.
  • Have experience in the acute hospital setting.
  • Has a focus on equitable services and health outcomes.
  • Actively participate in the education and training of undergraduate and postgraduate medical and nursing staff.
