This role is ideal for a pastry/dessert chef who is wanting to explore their creativity and expand their pastry and baking knowledge We're after someone who will work alongside our existing pastry chefs to create amazing desserts and have full freedom to explore different dessert recipes. We are the first and only dessert bar in Tauranga, so this is an awesome opportunity for someone wanting to develop their skills, progress in their career and be a part of an awesome, unique business.The Senior Pastry Chef will be charged with assisting with prepping, designing and creating desserts and sweet treats to wow our customers.Responsibilities will include the following:Daily prep of cabinet desserts and plated dessertsExploring/researching new cabinet dessert ideas and trendsEvening dessert service (receiving, plating and sending orders) on a week-on week-off basisEnsure daily prepping, ordering and cleaning tasks are completedAssisting with the maintaining of our kitchen health and safety, FCP and food hygieneThis is a hands-on, operational role. You must have strong knowledge and a passion for desserts and the drive to be a part of a flexible and close-knit team. We love to have fun on the job, a good laugh, plenty of yarns and we love to work hard.The start date for this role is ideally the 21st of August.Please note: we will only consider applicants that already reside in and have the rights to work in New Zealand for this position.
