About the Role

About the Service
Te Roopu Kimiora is a secondary care specialist mental health and addiction service seeing young people/rangatahi 0-18 years old who have moderate to severe mental health concerns. We work closely alongside the young person and their whanau to achieve goals that are set collaboratively so they can live to their fullest potential.
Te Roopu Kimiora is a vibrant and hard-working team, made up of many disciplines such as social workers, counsellors, nurses, psychologists, and psychiatrists.
About You

Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.
Experience in projects/initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.
A qualified registered nurse with an Annual Practising Certificate.
Experienced with working in a multi-disciplinary team.
Excellent communication skills.
Able to display a working knowledge and have experience of professional practice in the area of Mental Health/Psychiatry, or similar, ideally working with children and youth.
