Our Purpose
The Hauora ā Waha Hospital Dental Service at Christchurch Hospital in Waitaha Canterbury systematically plans, funds, and delivers care to almost 600,000 people living in the Canterbury region. We are a world leader in the delivery of integrated health care, focusing on placing people (staff and patients alike) at the center of everything we do.
The staff working at Hospital Dental includes dentists, dental technicians, dental assistants, and administrators, providing care to medically compromised individuals, those with physical and/or intellectual disabilities, and children requiring dental treatment under general anaesthetic.
We are a tertiary referral center for the West Coast and Nelson and Marlborough regions.
The Role
We are seeking someone to join us in a part-time permanent position working 8 hours a week.
You will have experience or an interest in developing skills to provide care for medically compromised patients (patients with head and neck cancers and oral-facial abnormalities). Experience providing implant-supported solutions for head and neck oncology patients is preferred. The ideal candidate will also guide pediatric and special needs specialists in tailoring and providing care for patients' complex restorative needs.
Eligibility
You must be eligible for registration with the Dental Council of New Zealand to practice.
