Head of Strength, Conditioning and Athlete Development - Dilworth School

Dilworth School is seeking to fill a full-time role as Head of Strength, Conditioning and Athlete Development. The successful candidate will lead, develop and deliver a school-wide strength and conditioning programme as well as supporting fitness and training across the school and the PE and Health Curriculum.

Through a focus on supporting curriculum, teams and individuals, they will contribute to both individual students' success and the success of the overall fitness, sports and PE & Health programme at Dilworth. They will need to do some weekend and evening work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Have a significant impact on the development and success of our sports programme.
  • Have a significant impact on the individual development of our young athletes.
  • Provide training, fitness strength and conditioning expertise.

Qualifications:

  • You will understand the importance of developing and educating akōnga in a supportive and safe environment.
  • You will hold expert knowledge in the field of athlete development and be passionate about this area of learning.
  • You will enjoy coaching and guiding students and assisting in their individual development, as well as supporting wider teams and departments.
  • You know that getting the best out of students does involve training and coaching in the evenings and weekends where necessary.
  • You will have the skills to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, work as part of a team and have the ability to manage a range of basic administrative and organisational tasks.
