Head of Strength, Conditioning and Athlete Development

Dilworth School is seeking to fill a full-time role as Head of Strength, Conditioning and Athlete Development. The successful candidate will lead, develop and deliver a school-wide strength and conditioning programme as well as supporting fitness and training across the school and the PE and Health Curriculum.
Through a focus on supporting curriculum, teams and individuals, they will contribute to both individual students' success and the success of the overall fitness, sports and PE & Health programme at Dilworth. They will need to do some weekend and evening work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Have a significant impact on the development and success of our sports programme.
- Have a significant impact on the individual development of our young athletes.
- Provide training, fitness strength and conditioning expertise.
Qualifications:
- You will understand the importance of developing and educating akōnga in a supportive and safe environment.
- You will hold expert knowledge in the field of athlete development and be passionate about this area of learning.
- You will enjoy coaching and guiding students and assisting in their individual development, as well as supporting wider teams and departments.
- You know that getting the best out of students does involve training and coaching in the evenings and weekends where necessary.
- You will have the skills to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, work as part of a team and have the ability to manage a range of basic administrative and organisational tasks.
