About the role

As a Senior Aerospace Stress/Structural Engineer at Vickers Aircraft Company, you will play a vital role in the design, analysis and development of cutting-edge aerospace structures and components. In this full-time position based in Hamilton, Waikato, you will leverage your expertise to ensure the structural integrity and safety of our innovative aircraft.
What you'll be doing Conduct stress and structural analyses on aircraft designs using advanced computational methodsDevelop and validate structural models to predict the behaviour of aircraft components under various loading conditionsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise designs and identify opportunities for improvementPrepare detailed engineering reports and specifications to support certification and regulatory complianceMentor and guide more junior members of the engineering teamStay up to date with the latest industry trends, technologies and best practicesWhat we're looking for Minimum 8 years of experience as an aerospace stress or structural engineerProven expertise in finite element analysis, structural mechanics and aerospace design principlesProficient in the use of engineering simulation software such as ANSYS, Abaqus or NastranStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to think criticallyExcellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teamsTertiary qualification in Aerospace, Mechanical or Civil EngineeringWhat we offer
