We are looking for a Section Lead for our Power Systems Protection Team.Reporting to the Head of Power Systems, you will manage and develop a team of talented Substation protection engineers.You will be a Senior or Principal electrical engineer who is looking to move into your first people management role. You will have extensive protection experience with HV/MV substation projects.You will have:HV/MV Substation protection setting experience.8+ years post-graduate engineering experience developing protection schemes, protection settings, relay configuration files, and protection reports along with reviewing protection design.Experience carrying out Power system analysis using tools such as DigSilent and ETAP.Be passionate about Engineering.A strong technical knowledge of specifications, standards, and codes.Lead technical discussions with clients to determine the optimal solution to meet their needs.Develop and review protection standards/philosophies for clients and internal use.Assist in motivating, mentoring, and training team members.CPEng accreditation, or on your way to achieving it.An analytical approach to problem-solving.The capability of demonstrating and living our values of being agile, genuine, and having an inspired, passionate approach to EngineeringCitizenship, or a suitable visa to allow you to work in NZ.Responsibilities include:Producing high-quality deliverables that leave no questions unanswered.Working with the Head of Power Systems and other Power Systems Section Leads.Guiding and developing our junior and intermediate engineers aspiring to be protection engineers.Plan and manage your team resourcing and assist with proposals for protection scope.Actively contribute to successful project inputs, monitoring, and outcomes.Delivering successful project documentation and outcomes required to deadlines and budget.Contributing to the company’s quality and health and safety processes.Why join Ergo?You will get the opportunity to join an enthusiastic team of like-minded professionals, working on interesting and challenging projects.
