Ensure safe practices on the road and during loading/unloading of goods.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and fellow drivers to coordinate deliveries.
Secure and stack items properly in the delivery vehicle.
Meet scheduled delivery deadlines.
Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks as needed.
Load and unload items for delivery.
Track shipments and deliveries, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
Obtain customer signatures and handle queries or complaints professionally.
Plan and follow the most efficient delivery routes using GPS or maps.
Verify orders before departure and upon delivery to ensure all items are accounted for.
Keep detailed records and reports of deliveries.
The candidate will be required to work at least 30 hours per week and be paid between $29.66 to $31.99 per hour.
Other important requirements:
A clean, full Class 1 driver's license (DG endorsement is ideal but not mandatory).
No prior experience is necessary—training will be provided.
Available for early morning starts.
Available to work on weekends.
Physically fit and able to handle a physically demanding role.
Reliable, with a strong work ethic and a professional, tidy appearance.
Strong communication skills and the ability to deliver excellent customer service.
Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to the business's evolving needs.
Ability to lift and move heavy items, with good stamina and dexterity.
Excellent attention to detail and trustworthiness.
Ability to work independently and within a team.
Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
A clean police record with an ability to clear MOJ check.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $29.66 – $31.99 per hour
