Jacobs is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to join our Cities & Places business, embedded within our Building Services team, to play a pivotal role in the Regional Hospital Redevelopment Programme in Christchurch. This is a unique opportunity to take the electrical engineering lead on one of New Zealand’s most significant health infrastructure projects, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams and our Lead Architect for Health to ensure delivery excellence. Responsibilities Lead the electrical design and delivery of the Christchurch Regional Hospital Redevelopment Programme. Operate as a trusted client interface, ensuring technical excellence and stakeholder alignment. Collaborate across disciplines to drive integrated solutions in complex environments. Champion Jacobs’ values and safety culture while mentoring junior engineers. Play a key role in growing our NZ Building Services capability, identifying and winning new work locally. Qualifications & Experience Strong consultancy background and thrives in client‑facing roles. Proven experience delivering hospital or health infrastructure projects. Comfortable leading multidisciplinary teams and managing project delivery. Work‑winning mindset and understanding of the NZ market landscape.
