About the role As an IT Support Technician/Field Tech, you will be responsible for providing high-quality technical support and on-site assistance to our clients across a range of industries. This full-time role is based in Mount Eden, Auckland, with opportunities for occasional remote work.
What you'll be doing Respond to service requests and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues for clientsConduct on-site visits to diagnose and resolve technical problemsLiaise with clients to understand their needs and provide efficient, effective solutionsMaintain detailed documentation of all support activities and resolutionsAssist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment and systemsProvide training and guidance to end-users on the proper use of technologyStay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry best practicesWhat we're looking for 2-3 years of experience in a technical support or IT field technician roleStrong problem-solving and analytical skills to quickly identify and resolve issuesExcellent communication and customer service abilities to interact with clients effectivelyWorking knowledge of Windows, macOS, and common software applicationsExperience with network administration, hardware troubleshooting, and software installationWillingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processesAbility to work independently and as part of a teamProficiency in using ticketing systems for tracking support requests.What we offer Competitive salary - based on experience.Ongoing training and professional development opportunitiesCollaborative and supportive team environmentAbout us Vital iT is a leading provider of IT solutions and services in the Auckland region.
