The role:The primary purpose of the position is to co-ordinate, deliver, develop and monitor the SUDI prevention education programme to Te Tai Tokerau workforce and wider external relevant agencies. To support the strategic direction of the SUDI prevention programme through evidence-based training, education, practice and development across a multi-disciplinary and intersectoral workforce spanning health, education, social and community sectors.This role requires an experienced educator, relationship manager, articulate communicator with sound knowledge & expertise of all positive infant and child health behaviours such as (but not limited to) SUDI prevention – safe sleep messaging, safe sleep bed programme, early engagement with maternity, benefits of being smokefree, breastfeeding & being immunised.This position is permanent full time 1.0 FTE working 40 hours per week based in Whangarei, however some travel around the region may be required.Plenty of professional development opportunities are offered as well as being a part of a supportive multidisciplinary team.
