The role will have you completing all activities relating to the purchase ledger, including the maintenance and efficient processing of invoices. Further to this, you will liaise with the wider finance team, as well as other departments in the group to ensure the smooth running of the finance function.Client DetailsMy client, based just outside of Christchurch, are a regionally recognised real estate business, experiencing an expansion period, thus creating the opportunity to join the finance and accountancy team as a Purchase Ledger Clerk.DescriptionPurchase Ledger Clerk:Enter invoices and credit notes into the purchase ledger systemDigitally scan suppliers' invoices for record-keepingUtilize OCR and AI technology to review processed documentsEnsure accurate coding of invoices including nominal code, company, and VAT codeCollaborate with Estate Teams to address any arising issuesHandle supplier queries and resolve them efficientlyPerform reconciliations of suppliers' statements and accountsMaintain a tidy and accurate purchase ledger through regular reconciliationsRespond promptly to supplier inquiriesProcess payment runs and coordinate ad-hoc BACS and faster paymentsOrganize filing activities to maintain an organized record-keeping systemProvide support to the Finance Manager as requiredProfilePurchase Ledger Clerk:Experience in a similar role with exposure to a group finance functionGood understanding of the Microsoft package (Excel, Outlook, Office)Practical understanding of VAT rulesInterpersonal communication skillsKnowledge of Xero (Qube too but not essential)Job Offer£25-£29k DoECompany Pension22 days holiday + BankFree parking on site #J-18808-Ljbffr
