The Driver/Production Assistant will be responsible for supporting daily operations of the business, primarily involving driving bulk delivery trucks to farm silos and assisting in the production process of animal feed at the Hikurangi Feedmill. This role also includes general factory cleaning duties as required.
Minimum 30 hours per week guaranteed.$29.66/hour
Qualifications and Experience:

Valid driver's license or ability to obtain one.
Basic understanding of manufacturing processes desirable.
Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects (up to 25kg bags).
Applicants must pass pre-employment drug test.
Applicants must provide a CV.

Key Responsibilities
1. Driving Bulk Delivery Truck to Farm Silos:

Transporting animal feed from the Hikurangi Feedmill to farm silos safely and efficiently.
Assisting with the loading and unloading of feed at designated farm locations.
Ensuring all delivery schedules are met promptly and accurately.

2. Assisting Production Foreman at Hikurangi Feedmill:

Supporting the Production Foreman in the manufacturing of animal feed.
Packing feed into 25kg bags for distribution to local farmers.
Adhering to strict quality control measures during the production process.

3. General Factory Cleaning:

Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards within the factory premises.
Cleaning equipment, work areas, and ensuring proper waste disposal protocols are followed.

4. Health and Safety:

Adhering to all health and safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Participating in health and safety training sessions as required.
Reporting any hazards or safety concerns to the supervisor immediately.
Using personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary and ensuring it is worn correctly.

Additional Duties:

Adapting to new tasks or assignments as required by the employer.
Participating in training programs related to job duties, including potential upgrades to driving licenses.
