Senior Land Management advisors are a key piece in the Water and Land team as they influence our purpose and lead our technical approach to solutions for complex problems. You'll collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve the aspirations of the community.

Mōu │ About You

Ideally, you're tertiary qualified in a resource management, farming, environment, ecology, or a related field. You'll be an experienced land management practitioner with a focus on sustainability. Clear, simple communication skills are something you manage well while focusing on solutions and prioritising issues.

  • Hold a full Class 1 driver's licence.
Mātau ā-Wheako | Experience
  • Three to five years' experience in a role related to resource management, sustainability, land management/agriculture, biodiversity, ecology, conservation
  • Understanding of land use, land use systems, land management practices, resource conservation and biodiversity protection principles
  • Experience working with diverse networks of people
  • Effective communication skills, facilitation
  • Strong working relationships with a range of people
  • A general understanding of Tikanga Māori and the regional significance of Ngāi Tahu is desirable
