Daifuku Oceania is a global leader in automation. We have an opportunity for an experienced System Technician - Mechanical to become part of our experienced team at Perth Airport.
About the role
The baggage handling system of an airport is a vital piece of equipment responsible for ensuring a successful passenger experience and, ultimately, the reputation and satisfaction of airports and airlines.
As a System Technician, you will contribute to the success of our team at Perth Airport, ensuring the equipment's effective ongoing operations and maintenance.
Key to your daily program will be to perform diagnostic testing, troubleshoot malfunctions, faults and breakdowns and perform repairs to help keep our system fully functional.
What you'll be doing
Working on a rotating shift, your key functions include:
Install and perform diagnostic tests on the baggage handling systems.
Develop, implement and escalate maintenance plans as appropriate to prevent equipment breakdowns.
Troubleshooting malfunctions, faults, baggage jams and breakdowns and performing the necessary repairs to restore full functionality.
Document processes and maintain service records.
Optimise mechanical efficiency by adjusting equipment settings.
Proactive day to day monitoring and reporting system performance and operational activities.
Your qualifications and experience will include:
Mechanical Trade Qualification.
Prior experience working through preventative maintenance schedules.
Knowledge in installation, maintenance and repair.
Knowledge with automation/ baggage handling systems/ passenger boarding bridges.
Ability to work rotating shifts.
Requirement for a current and clear driver's licence.
