**About the Organisation**

New Zealand Cricket (NZC) is focused on ensuring that cricket is a game without barriers - a game that can be played anywhere, by anyone. Whatever their individual circumstances, New Zealanders will be given every reason to celebrate and engage with cricket as their game.

**About the Role**

NZC is seeking to appoint a new CEO with the current CEO now stepping down following 12 highly successful years, leaving the organisation in a very strong position. Reporting to the Chair and the Board of Directors, you will provide clear and inspiring leadership to the organisation and the wider New Zealand community. You will join the organisation at a time of financial strength, alongside a high-performing leadership team and with clear strategic imperatives established.

**Skills and Experience**

You will be passionate about cricket, you do not have to be an expert, but you will be a fan at heart and have a deep understanding of its importance to New Zealand. Ideally, you will have a background in sport, including at the community level. Additionally, you will be able to show how you lead organisations with a decisive, yet empathetic, leadership style using your exceptional interpersonal skills to create trusted relationships. Some of the other skills and competencies that we are looking for, include:

- How you have taken an inclusive approach when leading organisations through periods of change, including leading systems change.
- How you have gained a high level of commercial acumen through dealing with commercial partners; have an ability to negotiate and have a high level of financial literacy.
- Showing an awareness and understanding of different cultures and how embracing different cultures can further the organisation’s goals.
- Proven experience in complex stakeholder management, with the ability to engage and influence diverse groups of individuals.
