**About the role**:
Genesis' Community Investment Strategy focusses on encouraging rangatahi to develop science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) skills, supporting warm homes in our communities and protecting and restoring nature.

This role is a one year parental leave cover which would be managing our School-gen programme, providing energy-related STEM resources and activities for teachers, students and families, as well as supporting other local and national community investment programmes.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Support the implementation of the School-gen programme strategy.
- Be a champion of the programme, driving awareness and engagement among teachers, customers, and our people.
- Manage all School-gen resources, ensuring resources are accurate, in working-order, relevant to the NZ Curriculum and meet Genesis brand guidelines.
- Manage existing teacher/school relationships and develop new relationships, which may include attending events to increase programme awareness, engagement and advocacy.
- Keep up to date with education practices and standards to ensure the School-gen programme is relevant, remains credible and is widely adopted.
- Work with the generation-scheme Community team to ensure links between School-gen and our other STEM and Community Investment programmes.
- Work with our internal and external communications, brand and marketing teams to support the communication of the programme.
- Support the delivery of our wider Community Investment initiatives and 2025 Sustainability Framework.

**About you**:

- Circa 5 years' experience in the education, community or social impact sectors, preferably developing and or delivering educational resources.
- Tertiary or other qualification in Education, Social Science, Business or Communications.
- Experience in marketing and communications, community investment or sustainability is desirable, as is understanding and appreciation of Te Ao Māori.

As well as the above, you'll be a dynamic individual and a natural communicator who can easily engage, develop and leverage relationships with key stakeholders. You'll have an inquisitive mind, enjoy working through the details and can identify opportunities, working flexibly to adapt to changing needs and priorities.
