**About Us**

Pact is a major provider of community-based mental health and addictions services across Southland, Otago, West Coast and the Lower North Island. The Pact Youth Services are known to go the extra mile in supporting young people (aged 10-24) to achieve their goals.

Our Youth AoD Service provides 1:1 counselling or group sessions in schools, community centres and services or our office in Lower Hutt. We also deliver a mentoring service in which our team journey alongside rangatahi to support them in setting and achieving their goals.

Pact is looking for a full time mental health clinician to join our youth community and residential services across Lower Hutt

**The Role**

We are seeking a motivated and innovative registered health professional to join our youth team in Wellington, providing support for young people who are experiencing mild to moderate mental health issues and co-existing alcohol and drug related issues. In this role you will work closely with the Clinical Lead Coordinator. Youll provide treatment for the young people in your caseload, conduct AoD and MH assessments and provide clinical support to our counsellors and support workers.

The main responsibilities include providing client support, making clinical recommendations, and assisting with risk and referral management. You will also coordinate care and treatment plans with secondary services and other external stakeholders. Effective time management skills and the ability to prioritise are essential.

You will need to have excellent communication and networking skills and be able to build and sustain working relationships with youth, staff and external agencies.

**Desired Skills**

*Be a Registered Health Professional with a current practicing certificate (Social Worker, Registered Nurse, Psychologist, Psychotherapist, Occupational Therapist, DAPAANZ Addictions Practitioner or NZAC Counsellor) *Have experience in mental health and drug assessments and treatment *A full drivers licence and computer skills are essential
