**Āu Mahi | What You Will Do**

**Mōu | Who You Are**
- Interest and ability to support student development in laboratory and research activities
- Ability to weld a variety of metals to a high skill level and machine a wide range of materials to exacting tolerances.
- Tig welding background (particularly in stainless steel)
- Experience working with plastic composite materials
- A current full Driver's Licence (manual transmission).
- Metal trade based skills
- First Aid training and certification or ability to achieve certification.
- It would be desirable to have knowledge or willingness to learn the operation of Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) machinery.
- Proficient computer user including competence in Microsoft Office suite & internet programmes and logging/data acquisition software.
- An understanding of the engineering research environment and of technical experimental design.
- Knowledge of the requirements of working under the Health and Safety at Work (Hazardous Substances) Regulations 2017 and other relevant legislation.
