Intensive Brief Intervention Worker
Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS)
(Social Worker or Registered Nurse)
Palmerston North Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS)
If you are looking for a challenge, then look no further
We have an incredibly exciting opportunity available for a practitioner with CAMHS experience based in Palmerston North.
A brand-new role (to us) the Brief, Intensive Intervention Worker will work with young people and their families after a suicide attempt to ensure the young person and family have the support they need to regain their power and get back to normal for them. For this role we need someone with previous CAMHS experience, or acute mental health services. Someone who is fearless in the face of challenge, a strong advocate for the young people and families they work alongside and a bit of a people collector (in that they shine when meeting and engaging people).
For this role we need someone who can work autonomously and is also a team player, who is flexible, strong in who they are and willing to share and to learn along the way. Sense of humour an absolute must and the ability to enjoy our team.
In return we can offer:
- A truly amazing and authentic team who support and enjoy each other's company (mostly)
- Great opportunities for clinical growth and development
- A supportive employer that recognises the value of the work we do with children, young people and their families
- A smashing community that works hard to ensure our young people and their families reach their potential
Palmerston North has access to wonderfully wild beaches (25 mins away) an incredibly friendly population and because of the university and Military bases a diverse and energetic city scene.
