Asia New Zealand Foundation - KPMG Internship, Indonesia
**KPMG Indonesia and the Asia New Zealand Foundation Te Whītau Tūhono are excited to announce an internship for third and fourth year undergraduate/post-graduate students who are studying economics or related fields.**
The internship will take place over two months between December 2023 and February 2024 at KPMG Indonesia’s office in central Jakarta.
One intern will be selected for this programme. During the internship, the intern will be provided with assignments or meaningful work in the Tax-Transfer Pricing Team.
The Foundation and KPMG Indonesia will jointly deliver pastoral care to provide for the intern’s professional development and overall welfare.
The aim of the internship programme is to provide New Zealand tertiary students with an experience of working in a business environment in Asia in order to gain a better understanding of the people, place and culture of the host country.
In addition to having the skill sets and interests relevant to KPMG in Indonesia (see below), applicants will need to be adaptable, confident and have a strong interest in pursuing a career involving the Asian region.

**What you'll do**:
The intern will be given meaningful work relevant to their area of study and a mentoring supervisor who will be assigned to monitor their professional development.
Key responsibilities
Tasks will include:
- preparing basic transfer pricing documentation based on relevant economic and accounting principles and their interplay with transfer pricing rules
- aligning tax planning objectives with an organization’s business operations
- identifying ways to deal with potential transfer pricing conflicts
- participating and assisting in preparing for meetings with both internal KPMG teams and clients.
The intern will be expected to work effectively as part of a team: sharing responsibility, providing support, communicating well and updating senior team members on progress.
