Your Purpose:_**

As a Team Leader, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring that our plant and equipment operate at their best, all while promoting a safe and efficient working environment in line with Good Manufacturing Practice principles. Your mission will be to lead a talented team, facilitate communication between production and engineering, and drive continuous improvements to meet our production service, quality, and cost targets.

**_ What You'll Be Doing:_**
- Collaborating with the Chief Engineer to prepare the yearly department budget.
- Being the go-to person for managing our Engineering maintenance team, including coordinating daily work schedules, vacations, and sick days.
- Keeping an eye on the need for additional resources and acting proactively.
- Celebrating completed work while conducting evaluations of your amazing team members.
- Leading the charge in organizing engaging training sessions for the team.
- Hosting lively team meetings where we share information and address organizational matters.
- Providing direct supervision, timely communication, and unwavering support to your dedicated team members.
- Skillfully assigning and updating task priorities to minimize equipment downtimes and reduce material waste.
- Leading the way in scheduling and executing maintenance work orders to meet our site and maintenance objectives.
- Regularly reviewing preventive and predictive maintenance programs in collaboration with our fantastic engineering and production teams.
- Setting up and monitoring programs for critical equipment analysis and condition monitoring techniques.
- Managing maintenance processes and related improvements to ensure our production equipment runs reliably and complies with industry standards.
- Making invaluable recommendations to enhance our department's performance and efficiency, based on downtime cause reports.
- Assisting our production group in tackling technical challenges and operational issues.
- Conducting routine checks to ensure our manufacturing equipment operates safely and in line with Jack Links' top-notch safety and quality policies.
- Actively participating in our Business As Usual (BAU) delivery and monitoring efforts.
- Being on the ball when it comes to escalating problems and incidents to the head of the Department.
- Collaborating with our Health & Safety team to ensure that all tasks follow robust risk assessments and safe work practices.
- Nurturing and upholding our safety-first culture to ensure the well-being and productivity of our incredible associates on your designated shift.
- Maintaining a food-safe environment by diligently enforcing safety, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and processing and packaging procedures.

**_ What You Bring to the Table:_**
- Previous experience in a leadership role (at least 5 years), demonstrating your ability to lead a team to greatness.
- A relevant trade qualification that showcases your expertise.
- A remarkable track record with 10+ years of experience in the Engineering field.
- Previous experience in food manufacturing highly desirable.
- Proactive and confident work style with a desire to roll up your sleeves and get involved.
