Summary

**The Role**:
As the Director of Sales of Park Hyatt Auckland, you will help maximize total hotel revenue potential for the hotel across contracted accounts with a focus on corporate markets.

Other responsibilities include, but not limited to:

- Demonstrate a proactive approach to sales and be a dynamic sales professional who will positively impact our business and clearly understand the Park Hyatt brand
- Maximize segmentation mix and develop business from existing Hyatt channels while creating new business development opportunities
- Manage strong relationships with senior decision-makers from key leisure, PCO's, corporate accounts and travel agents
- New business research, solicitation, prospecting, and acquisition will be a large part of this role
- Building and maintaining strong relationships across internal and external clients, and other market and industry sources
- Plan, organize, and host familiarization, client events, team roadshows, and entertainment
- Working closely with the Director of Sales & Marketing and Revenue Manager to develop and implement strategies to maximize business opportunities
- Nurture and develop the sales team supporting them reach their respective revenue targets
- Supervise the Sales teams in the performance of their duties and ensure learning opportunities through genuine, naturally occurring, quality conversation

**Qualifications**:
**Qualifications**
- University degree or diploma qualification in Sales or Marketing and/or Hospitality or Tourism Management
- Minimum 2 years work experience as Associate Director of Sales
- Previous experience in a 5 star hotel environment, preferably Auckland
- Strong follow-up and time management skills
- Good understanding of selling techniques and marketing approaches
- Strong customer service skills and results-orientated
- Ability to lead and mentor a strong and disciplined sales team
- A self-starter who is highly driven and solutions-orientated
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, relationship management and networking abilities
