We are responsible for designing community-based systems of care, agreeing health and wellbeing plans, executing those plans, and monitoring outcomes which then feed into the design process. We work in partnership with our Te Whatu Ora and Te Aka Whai Ora colleagues to shape system-wide public health services across the motu.

The Business Continuity Manager is responsible for leading the planning and development of the emergency preparedness function for the NGO sector across the region. This role provides an important linkage at the regional level between the Ministry of Health, Te Whatu Ora, the wider Health system, other government agencies, and Non-Government Organisations.

- Knowledge and experience of emergency management planning and Civil Defence Emergency Management.
- Appropriate knowledge and understanding of relevant New Zealand legislation relating to Emergency Management.
- Experience providing guidance and advice on the development of regional emergency response plans, to the sector across all hazards, encompassing reduction, readiness, response, and recovery activities
- Coordinated Incident Management System (CIMS) Level 4.
- Experience developing, maintaining, and influencing relationships and partnerships across sectors and organisations including with Māori and Pacific Peoples groups.

**This role is based in the Central Region, which is made up of Mid-Central, Whanganui, Capital & Coast Hutt Valley (Wellington Region), Hawkes Bay and Wairarapa. You will need to be based in the region with the ability to travel around the region as needed. Your location can be discussed at interview stage**
