**The opportunity**:
We are looking for a Technician to work 5x4hr days in our** Microbiology Team** based at our Lynfield Laboratory on a 6 month contract. In this role you are responsible for managing the daily report (WIP) for General Microbiology and other duties within the department to help ensure we can meet TAT's (Turn Around Times) for our customers.

Your key duties will involve:

- Complete work within the given turn-around-time (TAT)
- Strictly adhere to all laboratory and regulatory quality assurance procedures
- Ensure all relevant records are kept up to date at all times
- Preparation of the WIP report for General Microbiology.
- Follow up on unbatched/unprocessed samples.
- Collection of samples from retention.
- Maintain a clean and tidy work area
- Participate and contribute to working safely
- Be actively involved in all the day to day improvement activities

**About you**:
We want to hear from motivated individuals who are keen team players with a passion for providing quality customer focus. Ideally you will have/be;
- Recent graduate
- Experience in a similar environment an advantage but not essential as on the job training will be provided.
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure
- Excellent time management and organisational skill
- Clear communication (both written and verbal)
- Good computer literacy (Word, Excel and previous experience using a LIMs would be ideal )
