**The Opportunity**:
We are looking for **Fixed Term** and **Permanent Technicians** to join our Microbiology Team based at our Lynfield Laboratory, on full time rosters.

Successful applicants will be responsible for carrying out microbiological analysis on food and/or environmental samples and ensure our customers' products meet the highest standards of quality and safety. We are looking for Technicians across a range of benches.

As Technician, you will be responsible for:

- Complete sample testing within the given turn-around-time (TAT)
- Strictly adhere to all laboratory and regulatory quality assurance procedures
- Ensure all relevant records are kept up to date at all times
- Use aseptic technique and maintain a clean and tidy work area

Our laboratory is open 7 days a week and flexibility to work overtime at short notice is ideal. The rosters on offer **includes at least one weekend** day as part of your roster.

Please note shift work is involved in the team between 6.00am and 10.00pm.

**About you**:
We would love to hear from motivated individuals with a passion for food safety and quality**.** Ideally you will have or be:

- Bachelor of Science majoring in Microbiology, Food Science or equivalent
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure
- Able to strictly follow the standard operating procedure
- Excellent time management and organisational skill
- Focus on working safely
