We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, motivated Advisor to work in the Ministerial Services team.
**Te Whiwhinga Mahi | The opportunity**
As an Advisor, you will work collaboratively with the Ministerial Services team and others within Te Puni Kōkori to:
- Provide support to ensure high quality, timely advice and information is provided to our Minister both for his Māori Development and Whānau Ora portfolios and other ministers as required
- Provide support in the oversight and coordination of all official correspondence and Official Information Act 1982 requests
- Contribute to consistent improvement and support the development of new tools, templates and resources to assist staff and stakeholders
**Ko wai koe | About you**
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Proof-reading skills, combined with a passion for plain English documentation
- A sound understanding of the machinery of government
- In depth knowledge of practices associated with responding to official correspondence requests, Official Information Act 1982 requests and parliamentary questions
- Familiarity with Te Reo Māori in relation to written official correspondence and advice to ministers
- Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills
