Create, curate and publish topical, lively and engaging digital lifestyle, entertainment, music, arts and culture content for a variety of RNZ (digital) platforms.

RNZ is New Zealand’s only non-commercial public multimedia organisation and exists solely to serve the public interest by providing unique, impartial services and content to all New Zealanders.

Part of RNZ’s strategy involves continuing to expand our digital content and distribution to connect with a growing and increasingly diverse audience.
- Responsibilities include:_
- Create, curate, produce, edit and publish topical, lively and engaging digital lifestyle, entertainment, music arts and culture content for RNZ platforms.
- Collaborate positively with digital and radio staff across RNZ to develop, polish and showcase our quality storytelling.
- Make extensive and appropriate use of images, video, graphics, and audio in multimedia storytelling.
- Contribute to the development of rnz.co.nz and social platforms and how we showcase digital lifestyle, entertainment, music arts and culture content.
- Use analytical tools to monitor audience engagement with RNZ stories.
- Undertake training and development as directed.
- Undertake other tasks and assignments as may be required from time to time.
- Maintain the high RNZ standards in terms of quality, impartiality, independence and accuracy, and demonstrate a working knowledge of our obligations under the RNZ Charter.

**Ōu Pūkenga - About You**:

- Tertiary qualification in journalism or relevant experience
- Demonstrated interest and skills in lifestyle and entertainment journalism
- Reporting and/or subbing experience for a news website or digital media organisation.
- Sound editorial judgement and demonstrated ability to act decisively under pressure.
- Experience as a writer, combined with an excellent command of English and correct use of grammar and punctuation.
- Experience in still pictures, video and audio editing, development and use of graphics, and visualisation of data.
- Recognition of the value of cultural and community diversity.
