The position presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of our +40 strong national Ground Engineering team, to work with and support colleagues from a variety of engineering and environmental disciplines and specifically to assist in the growth of our Ground Engineering and Tunneling team.

We are looking for an ambitious team player who wishes to assist in the development of innovative, cost effective and buildable solutions in an environment that is collaborative, stimulating and demanding.

Nationally our Ground Engineering team provides one-stop access to services ranging from project management, feasibility studies, detailed design, contract administration and construction supervision for geotechnical works.

The Professional role plans, manages and ensures delivery of projects (or components of), resources, budgets and timelines. Responsibilities include the preparation and presentation of proposals to clients and developing and enhancing relationships with clients and AECOM staff and suppliers.

Minimum Requirements
- 3+ years design experience in a consulting/contracting environment
- Current driving license
- Demonstrated track record of ensuring Health and Safety issues are addressed throughout the life of a project.
- Demonstrated skills in managing projects, or components of, and budgets to meet time and resource requirements
- Strong oral and written communication skills; report writing, development of proposals and the ability to communicate clearly in English is essential
- Demonstrated commercial acumen and the ability to develop relationships
- Can procure, supervise and manage ground investigations and ground related construction works
- Hands-on experience of routinely used geotechnical software suites such as, Geoslope/Rocscience and Bentley products - gINT, other technical software desirable
- Able to undertake with mínimal support the static and seismic design and reporting of a wide variety of geotechnical works including geological logging, slope stability, foundations, retaining structures, earthworks and ground improvements.

Preferred Qualifications

A civil related tertiary qualification

Current holder of CEng/CPEng or actively working towards chartership
