My client is a niche provider of bespoke geotechnical, 3 waters and land development engineering services throughout New Zealand. The company has enjoyed strong growth in recent years, in line with our strategic plan. To support this growth, they have a terrific opportunity for an experienced geotechnical engineer; this is a key role in our strategic plan and will include a blend of technical and client-facing activities.

**Summary**
Investigate, interpret and analyse geological processes, risks and ground conditions for land development projects. Aid in planning and overview site investigations, option studies for foundations, retaining walls and piles, slope stability analysis, pavement design and geotechnical hazard studies.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
- Perform geotechnical analysis and study to assess construction site condition.
- Plan and conduct geotechnical exploration effectively.
- Perform field and environmental investigations for construction projects.
- Analyse geotechnical findings, perform appropriate calculations and prepare data reports to clients.
- Provide direction to technical team in field inspection activities.
- Perform role related basic office administration tasks when needed.
- Design and evaluation of constructions.
- Develop design drawings and specifications for construction projects.
- Review construction design proposals and approve geotechnical aspects.
- Inspections and Due Diligence.
- Geotechnical Design.

**About You**
- Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent level tertiary education
- You must have worked within New Zealand and be familiar with the local market
- 4+ years’ experience with the design and delivery of geotechnical engineering projects
