We have an opportunity for an sharp minded technologist to join our Site Reliability Engineering chapter in a Senior System Specialist position as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer. The role is embedded in the AML (anti money laundry) squad, which is a key part of the Financial Crime Platform.

Financial Crime platform squads primarily focus on, prevention and management of the impact of financial crime happening. The Platform is divided into 3 domains which represent our 3 squads: Fraud, AML & Sanctions. Our squads support our Operations staff fighting financial crime on the front line.

Briefing of AML squad at a high level:
Maintain and build smart AML solutions that keep the Bank and our Communities safe.

**About the role**:
As a Site Reliability Engineer in Senior System Specialist position, you will Provide an advanced level of technical expertise and ownership across a complex environment supporting the ASB business. Provide technical leadership for all operational aspects of this environment. Analyse and optimise the environment for reliability and scalability while delivering cost effective performance. Demonstrate outstanding customer service skills and lead by example. This position fulfils a senior technical leadership role within the team.

**What you'll do**:

- Ensure high availability of systems for which you are responsible through your knowledge of the incident management, capacity management, change control, problem management and availability management processes
- Assist the Squad on system transformation into cloud
- Lead Problem and Incident Management
- Understand how changes will impact the environment and services being supported
- Recommend, develop and implement Initiatives and improve technology and processes
- Ensure adherence with Audit, Security and compliance requirements
- Ensure adherence with change management requirements
- Stay current with relevant Technologies.
- Implement, adhere to and contribute to the development of technical standards
- Ensure the quality of technical solutions
- Process management and process Improvement
- Improvement of overhead, efficiencies and cost reduction
- Lead by example of well-rounded skills and commitment to all areas of responsibility
- Demonstrate excellence in mentoring
- Demonstrate excellence in execution of technical responsibilities
- Show leadership in meeting the direction technologies
- Administration of DR/BCM & Backup plans
- Knowledge sharing

**What are we looking out for?**

With regards to background, the following capabilities are a must:

- 5 year + (minimum) supporting enterprise environments
- Automation mindset to automate highly repetitive tasks
- Expert in both Windows and Linux virtual machine administration (RHCE certified)
- Data Analytic capability required
- Monitoring and observability exposure, the likes of Elastic Search monitoring and Dashboarding
- Exposure to SQL Database or Oracle Database administration
- Hands on experience with Source control and CICD tooling

**These Capabilities Are Not Mandatory But Would Be Favourable**
- Sound knowledge of ITIL framework
- Information Security knowledge, high security awareness
- Exposure to Database administration
- having any two of AZ104, AZ400, AZ305, AZ500, SC100 certifications would be beneficial.
