We are now on a hunt for a Data Product Owner to join our passionate team.Mō te Tūranga | About the roleWe have an exciting opportunity for a new Data Product Owner to support the Financial Crime Modernisation Programme.You'll take a lead role in shaping and delivering a significant uplift in the data and systems that allow us to protect our customers and organization from Financial Crime.As a seasoned Data Product Owner, you will ensure that data products are effectively developed, managed, and leveraged to drive business outcomes, improve decision-making, and gain a competitive advantage in the data-driven landscape.Some of your key responsibilities in this role will include:Product Lifecycle - supporting the strategic end-to-end lifecycle of the data product from Inception through Design, Creation, Publishing, Operating, Governing, Consumption, and Retirement in consultation with data domain owner(s) and data consumption stakeholders.Semantic consistency - working with ASB's Data Product Council to ensure that the data product follows the agreed governance rules and has shared definitions of terminology (including alignment with BIAN) to enable consumers to combine the data product with other data products in a meaningful and correct way.Quality and Observability - ensuring that the data product is a trusted source for data consumers, including defining and monitoring quality metrics about the data product, and addressing quality concerns.Privacy & Compliance - maintaining compliance with ASB's data management and privacy policies, and meeting the privacy obligations of the product's data domain owner(s) including data records retention and destruction.Security - overseeing the access permissions and acceptable use policies for the data product on behalf of data domain owners, and defining data contracts for use of the data product where appropriate.Discoverability - ensuring that the data product is published to ASB's central data catalog and/or data marketplace, with appropriate metadata and advice to make it easy for consumers to understand the data and how to combine it with other data products.Ideally, you will have an agile mindset and proven experience in the FCC management industry, have grown to be an engaging communicator with solid Data Product Ownership experience, and show the ability to wrap your head around all aspects of delivering data products or data solutions that solve key business problems within a large, complex environment.Strong leadership and the ability to build effective relationships across diverse stakeholders internally and externally is essential, as well as a strategic mindset with the ability to influence and drive change, particularly in a data science environment.You'll be naturally inquisitive with a passion for driving teams towards a shared vision for the future.He aha tāu e hoki mai ai? | What will you get in return?Company/Culture: ASB is more than just a place to work.
