**Mōtēneitūranga | About this role**

We are embarking on a strategy to reposition TeTāhuhu o teMātauranga/ Ministry of Education's, digital landscape, and better connect the provision of digital services within the Ministry and, increasingly, to customers across the sector, partner agencies, and ultimately teachers/principals, ākonga and their whānau.As a member of TeUepū Matihiko (Digital/IT Group) you will help champion this change as we transform the way we work.

This newly created role of Digital Delivery Planner will work to understand the delivery demand pipeline, ensuring effective planning and resourcing to support the supply of digital services.

Providing a high level of expertise and advice, you will create uplift around our product and platform roadmaps by providing quality business analysis to identify and articulate change. You will bring a broad understanding to a range of business and ICT technology domains, helping us to identify the dependencies and look at ways to optimise our resources.

The scope of the role includes:

- Identify and map the dependencies and relationships between digital products and investments to provide an enterprise level view to support development, change and delivery
- Plan, prioritise and manage resource plans for product and practice teams across to support delivery of the prioritised product roadmaps
- Continuously manage and monitor our portfolio framework, re-aligning priorities to ensure the portfolio remains relevant to business owners, customers, and end-users
- Support an aggregated view of our product and services roadmaps, to continually improve the quality of our delivery and subsequent impacts on decision making
- Prepare strategic and operational papers and correspondence including business cases and/or project plans
- Ensuring resource risks are adequately captured and mitigated throughout planning and reporting and action is taken to resolve issues
- Provide leadership, direction and ensure best practice act as key drivers to deliver tangible outcomes for the group.

Roles are located in Wellington though we are open to remote working with regular travel to Wellington as required. Salary band $110,923- $135,573+ 3% kiwi saver
- The appointing salary will depend on level of experience, skills, and relativity.

With your strategic and analytical mindset, you will be comfortable analysing a range of complex information to drive short term improvements while maintaining a clear strategic long-term view. You will navigate changing priorities with ease and appreciate the impact of technology change in the wider context of business capabilities, people, and processes.

You will bring the following:

- Excellent judgement and sound decision-making skills.
- Experience in providing fit for purpose, credible advice, which influences decision making and creates results
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of governance frameworks/models and systems
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts and deliver detailed information in plain language
- Experience working across cross-functional teams providing collaborative and practical solutions
- Excellent business acumen with an understanding of current business and industry objectives and trends to support data driven business decisions.
