Divisional Services and Administration at University of Otago is a team of highly skilled professional staff responsible for delivering an outstanding experience to the University community (student, staff, and patient) through quality, efficient and effective service delivery.

This exciting and varied role currently supports three geographical locations and is responsible for driving the overall operation and management of all non-clinical functions of the Dental Facility (Manurewa), the Auckland Centre (Queen St, Central Auckland) and supports the Pacific Opportunities Programme at Otago (POPO) (Otara).

**_ The role/Te mahi_**

We are seeking a dynamic multi-talented leader enthusiastic about making a positive impact and able to drive the implementation of quality practices across a team of six direct reports and provide policy and procedure advice to over 30 staff.

The Manager will oversee all operational support and facility management, ensuring seamless delivery of IT, HR, Health and Safety, security, building maintenance, and contractor management across portfolios. In this pivotal role, you will enhance the patient experience and customer service at the Auckland Dental Facility. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing and implementing business continuity and incident management plans to maintain the resilience of our services and operations.

You naturally foster an environment of collaboration, empower others to deliver their best and engender trust and integrity.

Working closely with the relevant corporate and service divisions, you will manage the provision of support services to your key stakeholders.

Working across multiple portfolios of work, you will need to think on your feet, problem solve logically and build trusted partnerships with business managers locally in Auckland and based at the Dunedin Campus.

- Outstanding organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Provide strategic and operational advice, and recommendations to senior staff.
- Well-developed analytical and critical thinking skills.

- Able to swiftly learn new and unfamiliar systems; advanced ability using Outlook, and Microsoft suite.
- Experience working within a clinical or tertiary sector will be a distinct advantage.
