- Lead the development of an employment relations strategy and practice in alignment with the desired cultural transformation of Napier City Council workplaces
- Lead the co-design, development and implementation of restorative employment relations practices, a code of conduct refresh and employee speak-up processes
- Maintain a high-level oversight of all employment relations cases and manage risk appropriately while providing guidance, advice and mentoring to a team of people advisors.
- Proactively manage complex employment relations cases.
- Develop and lead the collective bargaining strategy while managing and facilitating regular working groups with unions and leaders.

**About you**

Important to this role:

- Bachelors degree in a relevant field such as Human Resources, Psychology, law or equivalent level of experience within an appropriate specialist field
