**Nurse Manager - Professional Development Unit**

**Permanent, Full-time**

**80 hours per fortnight (1.0FTE)**

Does the idea of leading innovation, and the evolution of how we coordinate and support nursing teams to be the best they can be appeal to you?

If so, we are excited to introduce a newly established role of nurse manager professional development here in Te Whatu Ora Te Matau a Māui Hawke’s Bay.

Reporting to the chief nursing officer (CNO) and joining the broader CNO leadership team, you will be responsible for developing, leading and managing the newly established Professional Development Unit (PDU).

The PDU will centralise well established functions and services such as our nurse entry to practice programmes, pre-registration student coordination, professional development and recognition programme, postgraduate education coordination, and will provide direct line management and leadership to the nursing workforce development and nurse education teams.

We are looking for a strong advocate for nursing education, someone with vision and drive and a natural leader who inspires others.
