We’re seeking the support of **Pregnancy and Parenting Education Facilitators **to join our team in Christchurch on a Supply of Services Contract.

**Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity**

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and qualified person to support expectant mothers, fathers and whānau as a Pregnancy and Parenting Education Facilitator (Childbirth/ Antenatal Educator) in Christchurch.

As a Facilitator, you will deliver Pregnancy and Parenting Education (also known as Antenatal) courses to expectant parents and their whānau. Providing education and support on healthy pregnancy, labour and childbirth, breastfeeding, immunisations and the early parenting stages.

We are seeking people with:

- ** A Childbirth Educator qualification or have a background as a Midwife or Registered Nurse.**:

- ** Experience in adult teaching and/ or facilitation.**:

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Can effectively coordinate and plan the education sessions to meet the needs of expectant parents and whanau, ensuring delivery of evidence-based information.
- Holds a current full NZ Driver’s licence.

**Tō tātou rōpu | About our team**

Plunket provide Pregnancy and Parenting Education courses within four District Health Boards within the South Island
- Canterbury, West Coast, South Canterbury (Waimate only) and Southern.

The team consists of a Pregnancy and Parenting Manager, a Coordinator, two Team Leaders and approximately 35 Facilitators.

We are seeking people with:
