In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to work with a dynamic team and use your expertise to drive the efficiency and profitability of our manufacturing operations. You’ll be responsible for managing budgets, analyzing financial data, and identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- **Key Responsibilities**
- Act as the financial leader of the plant, responsible for making informed decisions that drive the plant’s growth and profitability
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data
- Develop and maintain budgeting and forecasting processes to support the plant’s strategic goals
- Oversee the preparation and filing of financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
- Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
- Collaborate with plant management and cross-functional teams to drive financial performance
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and laws, including tax and reporting requirements
- Supervise and mentor a team of financial professionals
**Detailed Job Description**
- Ensure product margin on all Production orders are in an acceptable level
- Analyze and provide commentary of Production variances per Production order level
- Monitor and Analyze Product Yield variances per SKU/Production order
- Support the Supply Chain in ensuring the accuracy of Inventory Balances per system vs Physical count
- In charge in the closing of the Costing Module in the system / SAP on a monthly basis
- Support the Plant Operations department in the understanding of expenses actual vs budget
**Key Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing finance and management
- Strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SAP, and financial software
- Passion for pets and their well being.
- Remote work with a requirement of three to five months per year work travel in New Zealand.
