We are looking for a Pallet Maker with at least three years of relevant experience.

Pallets Brothers is committed to providing a wide selection of top-notch pallets and effective pallet recycling and repurposing services. We gather used or damaged pallets and employ sustainable methods to refurbish or disassemble them, making them suitable for reuse—an approach that is both cost-effective and environmentally friendly for businesses. We adhere to circular economy principles, reducing waste and extending the lifespan of pallets while also meeting the diverse requirements of various industries.

**Responsibilities**:

- Operate circular saw to cut certain wooden materials and pallets to size.
- Operate a saw to produce specific sizes of planks and boards and correctly use a saw to cut off all defects and rot away.
- Check and monitor machines and saws for safety, function, and sharpness.

**Pallet Repairs**:

- Pallets must be stripped of materials and de-nailed by hand to ensure quality.
- Boards and runners are to be graded and stacked in appropriate piles, which are then used in specific grades to reassemble top, middle, or bottom plates of the pallets of A, B, or C grades.
- Must know how to use the correct power tools promptly and safely.
- Pallet Diagnosis and Quality Control:

- The top plate, bottom plate, and runners must be safe and inworking order to hold certain weights. Afterwards, pallets are to be graded into A, B, C

**Forklift operation**:

- Must load and unload trucks and trailers quickly and safely, ensuring they follow all safety guidelines.
- Must locate, and store products and materials in proper places within the yard/ warehouse.
- Perform routine maintenance checks and services on all equipment including forklifts and trucks. (Eg changing oil, filters and liquids.

**General Tasks**:

- Clean up by picking up any materials, tools or rubbish left from work throughout the day.
- Must notify the manager of any hazards.
- Must locate, correctly and safely store any materials or products that are not stored.

**Requirements and Skills**:

- Must have at least three years of relevant experience.
- Must be able to operate a forklift.
- Knowledge of the sizes and grades required for different products.
- Knowledge of safety procedures.
- Mechanical skills for doing basic maintenance on machinery.
- Willing to submit background/drug checks and provide employment recommendations.

This is a full-time permanent role, and the hourly pay rate is $29.66.

The work hours are 40 hours minimum to 60 hours maximum per week, and they are to be worked between Monday and Friday between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. They may be required to work on weekends.
