- We have a great opportunity for an exceptional Principal Advisor - Workforce Planning to join the Business Operations team. We are growing rapidly and looking for someone who loves being part of a diverse team of strategic, operational and business planners.
- This role is a key leadership position within the team and includes development of workforce planning methodologies and strategic direction.
- You will undertake and direct workforce planning for INZ, ensuring day to day and strategic longer-term planning aligns with INZ’s collective areas of focus or operationalisation of policy changes.
- This is a fast-paced critical role within the INZ Planning team. Our people are at the core of everything we plan for and do. A well understood workforce is vital to good decision making and you would be integral to telling that story.

- A key part of the role is building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders, increasing the impact of the Operations, Tasking and Improvement (OTI) branch through our service-based approach assisting other Branches of INZ to achieve their Business Plan and Operational objectives.

**Working in our OTI team, you will**:

- Report to the Manager Planning, and work in a team of four Principal Advisors, two Senior Advisors and three Workforce Planners.
- Provide well informed workforce planning advice and maintain a wide range of planning artefacts that are relied on within the business.
- Be able to make the complex simple, articulate and illustrate your advice clearly.
- We have a flexible working environment with the team doing a mix of work from home and office based - a normal week being two days WFH and three in the office. MBIE supports a wide range of flexible working arrangements. Talk to us about what might work for both you and us.

- Experience supporting cross organisational planning.
- The ability to work independently and take initiative within the role.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Project and/or Change Management experience would be an advantage.
- Experience in hands-on delivery and artefact development.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong applicants may have experience as Workforce Planners in other complex organisation, Border Supervisors, VOMs, or Immigration Managers (or equivalent).
