**Join the team**

We’re looking for an afternoon Shift Manager for our brand new purpose built Distribution Centre in Ruakura, due to open in September this year.

Commencing in this role in late July, you’ll be reporting to the DC Operations Manager and join a leadership team focused on bringing a great team culture in a new environment to life. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Shift Manager or Distribution Centre Team Manager/Leader to take a step up and be a part of the foundation team for this exciting new Kmart operation.

The PM Shift Manager will be responsible for the smooth running of the afternoon shift at the DC. Hours of work will be from approximately 2 - 10 pm each weekday, with some possibility of weekend work during busy periods.

**What you'll be doing**- Setting KPIs and goals for the afternoon shift, in line with Kmart strategy and priorities, full accountability for shift output results- Managing shift rosters and ensuring appropriate workforce planning- Leading and managing Team Managers and Team Members to meet the agreed KPI’s for the shift- Assuming responsibility for the site during the PM shift, and performing nightly close down routines- Training and mentoring team members- Driving, enhancing and correcting performance of team members- Initiating and executing OE / CI initiatives for the shift and ensuring consistent implementation of initiatives across all areas- Accountability for site safety across the shift

**To be successful in this role you'll have**:

- 3 - 5 years of distribution centre leadership experience, at Shift or Team Manager level
- Logistics management experience in warehousing, transport or supply chain
- Demonstrated experience in leading teams of people to deliver to meet KPI’s safely and efficiently
- Knowledge of warehousing and distribution best practise
- Great relationship building, communication and teamwork skills
- Experience in workforce planning and resource scheduling to meet agreed outputs.
