**Te whiwhinga mahi/The Opportunity**
The Te Au Reka Security Architect supports the Project Manager and Programme Architect in the Data and Information workstream, by providing ICT and information security expertise and enabling security technologies within Te Au Reka.
The Digital and Information workstream is critical to maintaining the ICT security strategy, standards and processes as we undertake the journey towards digitising processes in our courts and tribunals. This team is responsible for the security of the Programme's data and information systems and services. We ensure these are deployed, maintained, operated and innovated in line with industry best practice standards, to meet the security requirements of the Ministry and judiciary. We provide security operations, product and architecture expertise and support to our workstream, the Programme and business stakeholders.
The Te Au Reka team is looking for a passionate team player and self-starter to be part of this exciting journey. You will be responsible for the definition of security architecture strategy, roadmaps and solutions for Te Au Reka. You will ensure that these meet business needs and comply with Ministry and government policies and standards and are aligned with enterprise architecture, technology governance and industry best practice. This role will offer you the opportunity to work collaboratively with a variety of technical and business stakeholders to innovate and develop the security capabilities for the programme.
**He pūkenga tou/Skills and Experience**
To be successful in this position you will have:
- Proven experience working as a Security Architect, Senior Security Engineer (or similar) in large and complex organisations.
- The ability to translate strategic goals and roadmaps into architecture requirements and designs.
- The ability to design security control solutions across all architecture domains (Application, Data, Technology and Integration).
- A sound knowledge of security standards including NZISM, PSR, PCI-DSS or ISO27001.
- A comprehensive understanding of the latest cyber security principles, standards, frameworks, guidelines, techniques and threats.
- The ability to articulate ideas and to facilitate discussions and lead meetings to achieve outcomes.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with a wide range of business and technical stakeholders.
- A willingness to be a team player and self-starter with a strong desire to learn.
- A tertiary degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience, including technical qualifications and certifications in ICT security and architecture.

The appointing salary for this role is between $148,068 and $207,390 based on skills and experience.
