Orchard Area Managers

Multiple Kiwifruit Orchard Area Managers wanted to join our growing teams in Bay of Plenty, Gisborne and Whanganui.
These are full-time, permanent positions guaranteeing at least 30 hours of work per week, but you will usually work between 40 to 50 hours per week. The minimum pay rate is $29.66 per hour and the maximum pay rate is $35.00 per hour.
These are leadership positions, leading your own teams and supervisors and ensuring all operations including quality standards, performance standards, time-keeping, reporting, and health & safety standards are maintained.
**Responsibilities**:
To be considered for this position you'll have at least a qualification at Diploma level or higher or at least one year of relevant experience in agriculture or horticulture management or business management.
You will have excellent knowledge of orchard operations in the kiwifruit industry, including those area of operation that relate to GAP/GRASP certification.
You should have excellent communication skills (both written and spoken) and be able to work independently to reach your own targets and assisting other personnel to meet their targets in your area.
You must be able to multitask and will be able to complete work in set time frames.
You will also be expected to perform management tasks such as obtaining and negotiating new contracts, creating reports for work, communicating with farmers and growers, financial transactions, ordering products, HR duties and staff management.
You will be solely responsible for our business operations with other management staff reporting to and supporting you.

This is a full time Permanent position and the successful applicant will be required to manage the business as well as its staff and other third parties.
Each Area Manager will be provided with at least 30 hours of work per week. The minimum pay rate is $29.66 per hour and the maximum pay rate is $35.00 per hour.
