National Workshop Manager

**About Us**: At RV Super Centre (RVSC), we are dedicated to providing exceptional products and experiences for RV, camping, and outdoor enthusiasts. As part of Tourism Holdings Limited (thl), New Zealand's premium tourism company, we are looking for a Service Centre Leader to support the growth and performance of our RVSC Retail Service Centres across NZ.
**The Role**: As the Service Centre Leader, you will ensure our service centres operate at targeted productivity and efficiency while leading improvement initiatives. You will provide high-level customer service, ensuring we are seen as trustworthy and knowledgeable across the RV Retail Service network in NZ. Your leadership will drive world-class quality of workmanship, with Health and Safety at the forefront.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Lead, coach, and mentor parts and service teams to maintain a safe and positive culture.
- Develop strategic plans for business sustainability, revenue growth, and profitability.
- Prepare, monitor, and control budgets, ensuring profit margins and aftersales targets are met.
- Set, monitor, and support individual service centre targets to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Collaborate with Marketing to drive awareness of our Service Centre offerings.
- Lead sales refurbishment nationally, managing costs while delivering high-quality refurbished vehicles.
- Oversee Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality practices across service centres.
- Ensure customer experience and service are top priorities.
- Adhere to thl business policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with NZ vehicle standards.
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers, supply partners, contractors, and business associates.
**Personnel Management**:
- Promote a strong team culture and drive towards thl's company goals.
- Manage team processes including attendance, recruitment, rostering, performance management, training, and reviews.
- Provide strong leadership to motivate and manage staff effectively.
- Ensure adequate staffing to achieve targets.
- Communicate effectively with all staff.
- Oversee quality control for all completed work.
- Facilitate staff training and development.
**Measurement and Reporting**:
- Set, monitor, and track performance of budgets, productivity, and performance.
- Drive improvements in productivity and efficiency.
- Control cost of sales refurbishment and manage relationships with external suppliers.
- Ensure customer satisfaction metrics are monitored and improved.
- Maintain accurate data in thl's electronic systems.
- Monitor fleet preparation to ensure quality repairs.
**Technical Expertise**:
- Provide technical knowledge and guidance to the Service department.
- Coordinate day-to-day workload balancing Sales, Private, Warranty, and Refurbishment workflow.
- Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and materials in the Service Area.
- Communicate concerns and share ideas for operational improvements.
- Ensure completion of requested work on fleet assets.
- Monitor Sales delivery timeframes and quality.
**Other Responsibilities**:
- Handle escalation of business issues as a key member of the RVSC leadership structure.
- Provide regular updates to COO NZ and the wider RVSC leadership team.
- Evaluate and develop appropriate actions for workflow impacts.
- Identify and present opportunities for operational improvements.
- Perform other tasks as required.
**Key Criteria**:
- At least 3 years of experience with similar responsibilities within the automotive industry.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills.
- Strategic planning and budget management experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge and experience with Pentana would be advantageous
